Mae Bro Morgannwg yn gyrchfan wych ar gyfer cerdded

Bydd ein cyfres o ddeg Llwybr y Fro yn eich helpu i ddarganfod byd teithiau cerdded arfordirol a chefn gwlad ar garreg eich drws.

Ar hyd Arfordir Treftadaeth Morgannwg garw'r Fro gallwch ddarganfod y goleudy â chriw olaf yng Nghymru (awtomataidd mor ddiweddar â 1998). Mewndirol, cerddwch yn ôl traed un o gymeriadau mwyaf lliwgar y Fro ar Daith Gerdded Treftadaeth Iolo Morganwg. Os meiddiwch – rhowch gynnig ar daith gerdded Maes Aflonyddu lle byddwch yn dod ar draws Siambr Gladdu Neolothic Tinkinswood - mae'n gapstone yw un o'r mwyaf yn Ewrop.

Yn ystod eich amser, peidiwch ag anghofio ymweld â rhai o'r tafarndai a'r caffis clyd cymeriadus ar hyd y ffordd, lle byddwch yn mwynhau rhai o'r prydau lleol gorau.

Ac i'r rhai sy'n hoffi mwynhau dysgu hanes a llên gwerin lleol, lawrlwythwch ein ap Vale Tales. Mae'r ap adrodd straeon yn dod â'r holl straeon y tu ôl i'r llwybrau yn fyw. Byddwch yn clywed hanesion am braw, rhamant, chwedlau Hollywood a gweithredoedd brawychus gan fôr-ladron enwog. Bydd eich teithiau cerdded yn dod yn fyw gyda gwir hanes y Fro. Gwnewch yn siŵr eich bod yn lawrlwytho'r Ap ac yn codi eich map cyn i chi fynd.

Chris specialises in both guided walking tours with history, culture, food and drink and great walking, as well as bespoke tours with interesting itineraries, safe and comfortable transport and unique experiences, usually not available to visitors. Glamorgan History Walks by Graham Loveluck-Edwards.

The Glamorgan History Walks, a festival of walks during May-July were all hosted by author and TV history expert Graham Loveluck-Edwards. Supported by a team of other story tellers and experts in their field they were able to bring the stories behind the places they visited to life. While planning begins for the 2025 festival, Graham is delighted to share with you the legacy of the 2024 festival. Follow this link to retrace their steps and do these walks yourself. Take a look through the list of walks covered and find one that takes your fancy. You’ll see photographs, route descriptions, areas of history that are relevant to the walk and a video capturing some of the stories and history included on that walk. Most importantly, you will also find a map.
